Cra.org[Cra.org] Computing Research Policy Blog: Funding Archives: For some reason, the remaining, close-out money proposed for the Partnerships is moved to the research account of NSF, where it artificially inflates what would otherwise be a mediocre rise in research spending. And I remain concerned about embarking on new missions for NASA at a time when other science agencies are being cut in real dollars.

http://joglikescomics.blogspot.com [Joglikescomics.blogspot.com] Jog - The Blog: November 2005: I’ve only flipped through it thus far (a complete reading is going to be sort of difficult, seeing as how I’m missing the final issue), but it looks real pretty - I suspect any atmospheric similarities to Elektra: Assassin, that earlier Epic-does-Marvel painted affair, is largely intentional, though there’s a unique feel to seeing Muth’s wispy, oft light-bathed figures (even his grotesqueries seem delicate) interacting with Williams’ more weighty designs, his Wolverine in particular striking me as something of a smearier Simon Bisley approach. Can’t say I’m expecting all the world and a golden pony from a Havok/Wolverine team-up, but I hope the scripting manages to keep up with the drive of these visuals.

Enterprisemission.com[Enterprisemission.com] Captain's Blog: Katrina ... More Hints of Another 911? -- Updated ...: The irony is, that even though their mother is away a lot on Mars engineering projects and their father studies ancient Mars history (and is likewise away a lot), the children *would not have been in jeopardy had Uncle Tom not taken them with him*. It also became apparent at the end of the story that Uncle Tom knew there might be trouble of one sort or another, so essentially, he used the kids as a human shield, and then when things went sour, he ducked out of any responsibility by grousing that Poddy and Clark's parents 'spent too much time away from home', so Clark was unruly, etc.
